● One Ice Mold yields approximately eighteen 8 oz servings of shave ice.
● Fill the mold with filtered water, leaving about 2 inches of space at the top to allow for expansion during freezing.
● Stack covered ice molds in a pyramid formation so air can circulate around the sides, top, and bottom of each mold for more even freezing.
● Set your freezer to its warmest freezing setting for the clearest, best-quality ice.
● Plan ahead. A freezer filled with multiple molds of water may take up to 4 days to freeze completely.
● Always temper your ice before shaving. Remove the Ice Mold from the freezer and place it upside down on its lid on the countertop. Once the ice releases from the mold (typically about 20 minutes), it is properly tempered and ready to shave.
